Friday, July 6th Indy is host to yet another of its First Friday Food Truck fiestas presented by MOKBpresents/do317. The Old National Center parking lot will be packed again as folks not only line up to devour food truck offerings, but also to enjoy a great musical line-up.

Food trucks in Indy have been a quite successful business the last few years, and even if it is still yet to be determined if this little biz explosion will last, for now, it is slowly weaving into our urban – and sometimes not so urban – culture. It characteristically fits Indy’s love for local small business, and the growing urban farm/homesteading movement with some trucks sticking strictly to farm-to-table offerings.
What makes First Friday Food Truck Fest more than just a gathering of food trucks is the addition of the live music. Even in the heat of July, this month’s event has a fantastic music lineup, including Kaleidostars, Vacation Club and DJ OhBeOne. Old National Bank will have a cool Kids Zone for the half-pints, along with Corn Hole brought to you by Indy Custom Corn Hole, local art vendors, and eclectic assortment of brews and wines from Leinenkugel’s and Oliver Winery.
If you’re looking for a fun weekend night, this is the event. And you can support local businesses and musicians while you’re at it.
